This program offers low cost services that help seniors continue to live independently in their homes. Available to residents age 60 and over who live in the following cities: Edina, Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Richfield, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Crystal New Hope, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Robbinsdale, Golden Valley, Wayzata, Brooklyn Center

Homemaking and home maintenance services are offered on a sliding contribution scale based on client's ability to pay. If a volunteer is provided, clients are not asked to contribute. Workers who provide the service are thoroughly screened and have background checks. The services that H.O.M.E. can provide are:

• House cleaning, laundry and grocery shopping
• Interior and exterior painting – free estimates
• Snow Removal
• MowingMinor repairs – Install safety bars and smoke alarms, repair leaky faucets, minor electrical repairs, secure railings and decks, and many more small repairs.
• Every spring and fall volunteers help with leaf raking, general yard cleanup, window washing, garage cleaning, weeding and gardening.

H.O.M.E. is a program of Senior Community Services, a non-profit agency sponsored in part by United Way and is funded under contract with the Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging, Inc. as part of the older Americans Act. H.O.M.E. is compliant with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Outreach Services also provides free At Home service to patrons who are unable to visit a library in person due to disability, illness or lack of transportation.
